Eric Millhorn

Eric Millhorn is the founder of the Millhorn Elder Law Planning Group, serving clients in The Villages and throughout central Florida in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, long-term care planning, and other important areas of the law.

Eric completed his undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in pre-law and political science. He studied constitutional law abroad at the University of the Western Cape/Universiteit van Wes-Kaapland in South Africa, and earned his juris doctor law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law. Additionally, Eric served in the United States Army Reserve from 1990-1996 as a Combat Engineer, Airborne and Air Assault qualified.

Eric’s elder law and estate planning practice is enhanced by the fact that he is a Veterans Affairs accredited attorney. As a VA accredited attorney, Eric is authorized to represent claimants applying for VA pension or survivor benefits, including Aid and Attendance.

Eric is a member of The Florida Bar, where he belongs to the Elder Law Section as well as the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section. He is also a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys. As part of his commitment to local communities in central Florida, Eric serves as a Director of the

Tri-County Business Association.

Jennifer S. Henson

Jennifer S. Henson received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Family & Child Sciences with a minor in Communications from Florida State University in 1995. Jennifer worked for over six years as a social worker advocating for children that were troubled, abused, neglected or abandoned, educating parents and family members and providing resources that would aid to reunify families that were in need. This advocacy work led Jennifer to pursue her law degree and in 2004 she graduated with her juris doctorate in the top 12% of her class from Florida State University College of Law.

Jennifer practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, guardianship and family law. She is a member of The Florida Bar and belongs to the Elder Law Section and the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar.

Jennifer has two sons, Gabriel and Zachary Henson and she is actively involved in their school events with the Eustis Middle School Band Association and the Eustis High School Band as well as the Bay Street Players YPT community theater company.

Joey TrowbridgeJoey Trowbridge

Joey Lynn Trowbridge received her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Administration from Central Michigan University and her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University, the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Joey began her legal career in franchise law and has since pivoted to estate planning after relocating to The Villages. She is a member of the Florida Bar and belongs to the Elder Law, Real Property, Probate & Trust Sections.

Having lived in Florida for nearly 20 years, Joey moved from the Sarasota/Bradenton area to The Villages during the pandemic and has embraced The Villages lifestyle. You can often find her on the Pickleball court, playing Mexican Train, or enjoying one of the town squares, with DJ Scooter being her favorite.

Joey is passionate about travel and has explored all 50 states and 39 countries, with many more on her list. Melbourne, Australia, and Havana, Cuba hold special places in her heart, as she had the opportunity to study there. Joey looks forward to serving her fellow Villagers with dedication and enthusiasm.

Ryan J. Millhorn

Ryan J. Millhorn received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from East Carolina University and his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law, located in Miami, Florida. Ryan practices in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, with an emphasis on motor vehicle accidents, golf cart accidents and slip & fall injury cases.

Ryan volunteers with the Teen Court program of Sumter County, Florida. He is on the board of directors of World Wellness Education and Project Legacy, both Florida Not-for-Profit Corporations. Ryan is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar.
